About the festival
Bhai Dooj, also called Bhai Bij, Bhau Beej, Bhai Phonta or Bhai Tika, is the final day of the Diwali festivities and celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters.1,2
Sisters apply a tilak or tika to their brothers' foreheads, pray for their well-being and offer sweets, and brothers give gifts in return.1,3
